Course Aims

This course aims to support KS2 teachers and teaching assistants to provide for pupils in KS2 who have gaps in learning in phonics. As well as updating practitioners’ subject knowledge, we will explore the principles and challenges of teaching phonics in KS2, assessment of pupils’ needs and strategies and activities for teaching and learning.

Who should attend?

Teachers and teaching assistants in KS2. Key Stage coordinators and literacy subject leaders are also invited to attend.
